There has been a flurry of activity taking place at DFM leading up to the 2010 holiday season, so we would like to share some of the highlights with our loyal patrons.
On Saturday, December 11th, the Dundarave Hellfish Hockey team (sponsored by DFM ) held their annual Christmas party at the restaurant. It was a fantastic way to end a fantastic year for the team, and a great time was had by all.
For a limited time only, Simply West Coast antipasto and Christmas Rum cakes are available at the Dundarave Fish Market. During the first weekend of October the wonderful Dundarave Fish Market employees enjoyed a fun filled Sunday afternoon at Vancouver’s Hastings Race Track. The staff enjoyed some cocktails, appetizers and buffet style lunch while they participated in watching some of the horse racing action. Some of the staff members were lucky enough to win prizes such as Canuck hockey tickets and Cineplex Odeon gift certificates along with other great gifts that were being distributed.
Later on in the afternoon the Dundarave Fish Market staff were granted the opportunity to go down and meet with some of the Jockey’s and partake in some great photos. The Jockey’s were also given some gifts, including some delicious all natural sustainable Simply West Coast Sauces, yum! The day overall was a huge success and everyone whom attended had a fantastic afternoon enjoying some quality time and fun with their fellow employees. Cannot wait for the next Dundarave Fish Market Party!

With the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday fast approaching, we at DFM would like to take the opportunity to thank our loyal customers for their support and patronage throughout the years. We would also like to let you know about some great causes that we have recently been supporting, both on the North Shore and in the Lower Mainland.
We are excited to tell you about the Canada Ice Dance Theatre, a small company that has produced some very fine skaters and given many people a lot of fulfillment. On October 18, they are putting on an awesome show and fundraiser at the West Vancouver Ice Arena. All ages are welcome , and it will be a great time for the whole family! DFM and Simply West Coast sauces are also proud to support the 2010 Inspiration Gala, which will take place on Thursday, October 28th at the Rocky Mountaineer Station. This intimate evening for 350 guests will include a reception, gourmet dinner, entertainment, live and silent auctions, mystery boxes and raffle. Proceeds from this year’s Inspiration Gala will support lymphoma cancer research at the BC Cancer Agency.
Last but not least, we would also like to highlight a fabulous organization that we have been supporting right here on the North Shore. The Harvest Project works to, “extend a hand up, not a hand out” to North Shore residents experiencing challenging life circumstances. Through client care meetings, free clothing and groceries, life skills classes and connections to other resources in the community, Harvest Project can provide the safety net between temporary setbacks and crises.
